If you really like the striking appearance of natural bamboo but feel that an entire floor covered with a single light color would be a bit too arresting to the eye you can always break it up to great effect by  mixing different colored bamboo floor planks. For instance, a dark carbonized band around, or near, the edge of a light bamboo floor will give you a look that not only breaks up the uniformity of a single expanse of natural color but also creates a very classy, distinct and somewhat expensive look. On a large open span of floor another way to achieve a similar effect would be to inlay a symmetrical pattern in the centre of the floor. A non permanent way to break up a bare look would be to use an area rug.
